“Homer’s Phobia” is the fifteenth episode in the eighth season of the American animated television series The Simpsons. It first aired on the Fox network in the United States on February 16, 1997. At the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, Homer Simpson believes he will win the Worker of the Week award; it is a union requirement that every employee gets the prize and Homer is the only plant employee who has never won.
Eventually, Homer returns to sanity and eats happily with his favorite foods. Then, he hears Moe demanding to get out of the pantry to kill his family. When Homer refuses, Moe and a gang of ghouls drag him from the pantry. While the family is eating dinner, Homer breaks down a door with an axe ("Heeeere's Johnny!"), only to find the room vacant (a "D'oh!").

Homer is selected as Barney's replacement, but he grows nervous and runs away during the preparations for takeoff. When Bart arrives at the detention room, Principal Skinner approaches him, requesting him to spend his detention in the cafeteria as the detention hall is becoming dangerously overcrowded with students. Meanwhile, in the cafeteria, Principal Skinner expresses himself worried that a critical amount of students are in detention. Lunchlady Doris berates him, saying that because of the latest budget cuts, she is reduced to serving Grade F meat in the cafeteria. Marge appears and explains to viewers how scary this Treehouse of Horror episode is. She then gets a letter from Congress saying this episode is so scary that it could not be shown on TV. Instead, they intend to show an old movie called 200 Miles to Oregon.
He breaks into another room ("Daaavid Letterman!"), only to find Grandpa (another "D'oh"). After Marge attempts to contact the police to no avail, Bart uses his "shinning" to call Willie to help. Willie immediately rushes to assist, only to get an axe in the back by Homer . Homer grabs another axe from the collection hanging on the wall and pursues the family outside into the snow and is ready to kill them until Lisa discovers Willie's TV radio in the snow. Homer immediately drops the axe to watch Kent Brockman on Channel 6 News.

Marge tells Homer that she wished that twenty years ago, she should've chosen love. In normal Simpson house, all the Homers are watching TV, when Marge comes in and ask why none of them had time to take out the garbage. The Egyptian Slave Homer grumbles, because it's always him and the other Homers laugh. The Simpsons go to Mr. Burns' mansion in the mountains to become its caretakers. Before he leaves, Mr. Burns cuts off the television and beer supply, believing that without these distractions this will ensure hard work from the family. While there, Groundskeeper Willie discovers that Bart has the power to read his thoughts and that if Homer goes insane, he should use this to call him.
There was a different way to vandalize other players' Springfield during the event. However, in the alternate ending of Bart and Homer's Excellent Adventure seen in a video on YouTube a week after the episode, it shows that the other Homers are wiped from existence and everything is back to normal. Before Artie Ziff is wiped from existence too, seeing Homer and Marge kiss, he sadly begs Marge if he could kiss one last time, seconds before he disappears. As Homer and Marge finished their kiss, Marge is glad that it's back to the status quo, before a small second head pops up from Homer, telling him to ask Marge if she has a little sister. Bart then goes to the Android's Dungeon and Baseball Card Shop's grand opening and buys the Radioactive Man comic, but throws it the trash later, as it is "too preachy" to him. He walks by the window outside the boys bathroom at Springfield High School, while Principal Dondelinger is telling off a teenage Homer Simpson and a teenage Barney Gumble for smoking.
This is the first Treehouse of Horror episode not to feature a wraparound segment. Then, present Homer tells off young Homer, because it was his peeping tree but then realizes that the teenager on the other branch is actually young him. Young Homer says that he traveled through space and time to make Marge settle for him because she doesn't know better. Homer tells Young Homer that if they put their heads together they can think of a plan. Young Homer then questions Homer about what happened and how he lost all his and is extremely obese. Meanwhile, Bart is using a whip to make petals fall off a daisy - which is in Nelson the butler's mouth, saying "I love my life" and "I love it not", similar to "Love me - Love me not" game, while Artie watches.
In the detention hall, Homer meets Bart, who explains to Homer that he's his unwanted son from the future who killed all his fun. Then, young Marge Bouvier enters the room and sits down, while young Homer is still strangling Bart. Young Marge gets disgusted by young Homer's behavior, but young Homer asks her to go to prom with him anyway, but she refuses and walks to the rear. (The rest of the family is eating dinner. Homer chops down a door).
At the end of the song, Santa's Little Helper comes into the dance number, and bites a helpless Bart by the leg. Bart is unable to fight his dog and is dragged off screen, screaming . NASA's main motivation for sending Homer to space is its low ratings. This is evident when Homer and Bart, who are seen as average Joes, are attempting to quickly change the channel when a space launch is shown. By 1994, NASA could no longer present space exploration as part of the Space Race—the tension between the Soviet Union and the United States had by then dissipated. In the episode, NASA attempts to use social class as a means of increasing ratings by sending an "average schmo" such as Homer or Barney to space.
Professor Frink activates the machine and it works, but nothing exciting happens, and everyone blames Lisa for her suggestion. After everyone leaves, two particles collide with each other and create a small black hole which floats off. Lisa cries on the ground, but then notices that her tears are floating towards a black hole. Lisa realizes that she must move the black hole, otherwise it will continue to absorb other people, as it sucked up Ralph and Nelson. The Simpsons put it in the basement and Lisa tries to convince them not to throw any matter in black hole, otherwise it'll expand and may destroy Earth. But Marge, Homer and Bart secretly throw junk at the black hole - Marge puts their grease and Bart tries to put his math homework in, but the black hole doesn't accept it, so he puts Edna Krabappel in the black hole.
The Simpsons get hired by Mr Burns to take care of his country-side mansion for the winter where Homer starts going mad. In the second segment, Homer's toaster breaks and in trying to fix it, he inadvertently made it into a time-machine in which cause terrible consequences. In the third segment, Bart and Lisa's start killing and eating the students in the school when they misbehave. The trio rush down the hall and observe Martin and other kids cringing in hamster cages with Skinner keeping an eye on them. The trio is then intercepted by Lunchlady Doris, who rushes at them with a spinning eggbeater. Groundskeeper Willie attempts to come to their rescue, but is instantly killed by Skinner striking him in the back with an axe, retorting on how he fails at rescues before collapsing.
